Privacy Policy

Easy Terms is a contract analysis service that uses artificial intelligence to help individuals understand the terms of contracts they are considering signing. We are the data controller for personal data processed through this service.

We collect the following categories of data when you use Easy Terms:

• Account data: Your name and email address (collected via Google sign-in or email registration).
• Contract documents: The text content of documents you upload for analysis. Files are stored in encrypted cloud storage.
• Analysis inputs: The concern or question you provide when requesting an analysis (the “fear input”).
• Analysis results: The AI-generated analysis, risk assessment, and recommendations produced for your document.
• Usage data: Number of analyses performed, subscription tier, and timestamps of key actions.
• Consent records: A log of when you agreed to this policy before each analysis.
• Payment data: Billing details are handled entirely by Stripe. We store only your Stripe customer ID — we never see or store your card details.

• To provide the contract analysis service you have requested.
• To send your contract text to Anthropic's Claude API for AI processing. Anthropic does not retain your data beyond the duration of the API request.
• To manage your account, subscription, and billing.
• To improve the reliability and performance of the service (using aggregated, anonymised metrics only).
• To comply with legal obligations.

We share data with the following third-party processors only to the extent necessary to provide the service:

• Supabase — database and file storage (EU/US infrastructure). Processes account data, documents, and analysis results.
• Anthropic — AI model provider. Receives your contract text and concern input to generate the analysis. Data is not retained beyond your API request.
• Stripe — payment processing. Handles billing and subscription management. Governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

Your documents and analysis results are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual documents and analyses at any time from your dashboard. If you close your account, all personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Data portability.

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your documents and analyses is restricted to your account only via row-level security policies on our database. We use industry-standard practices to protect your data, but no transmission over the internet is completely secure.

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and require you to re-consent before your next analysis. The version number and effective date at the top of this page indicate the current version.
